SolidCP control panel

Your Exchange organisation, administered by you

Every customer gets SolidCP at no extra cost. It is the difference between "we will raise a ticket and someone will get to it" and "the new starter has a mailbox before their induction finishes".

  • Included with every mailbox
  • No PowerShell required
  • Delegated admin roles
  • Full audit trail

Why this matters more than it sounds

Ask anyone who has run hosted email for a business what actually costs them time, and it is rarely the platform. It is the wait. Someone joins on Monday; the mailbox request goes in on Friday; the provider gets to it on Tuesday. A director needs access to a departed colleague's mailbox this afternoon; that is a ticket, an authorisation email and a day. Multiply that across a year and hosted email stops feeling like a service.

SolidCP removes the queue. Your IT manager, your office manager, or the IT company that looks after you gets a login and does the job in under a minute. We are still here for anything that needs an engineer — but you should not need an engineer to create a mailbox.

Most hosted Exchange providers do not do this. They keep mailbox administration behind their support desk, because a control panel is work to build and support. Check before you sign anywhere: ask whether you can create a mailbox yourself, and how quickly a password reset happens at 8am.

What you can do

Twelve things you will never need to ask us for

All of this is self-service, available 24 hours a day, from any browser.

Mailboxes

Create, rename, disable and delete mailboxes. Set quotas, forwarding, out-of-office and litigation hold. Reset a password at 8am on a Monday without opening a ticket.

Distribution lists

Build unlimited distribution and security groups, set moderators, control who may send to them and manage membership yourself.

Contacts

Add mail-enabled contacts for suppliers, subcontractors and clients so they appear in your Global Address List alongside your own people.

Public folders

Create and permission shared mail, calendar and document folders for the teams whose workflow still depends on them.

Mailbox plans

Define your organisation’s standard mailbox — size, features, policies — once, then apply it to every new starter in a single click.

Retention policies

Apply retention tags and archive policies across the organisation, or to individual mailboxes where a regulator requires it.

Password policy

Set your own complexity requirements, expiry period and lockout thresholds rather than inheriting ours.

Storage usage

Live reporting on which mailboxes are filling up, so you extend storage before somebody stops receiving mail.

Accepted domains

Add a newly acquired domain, verify it and start receiving mail on it within minutes.

Mobile devices

See which devices are connected to a mailbox, apply device policies and remotely wipe a lost phone.

Delegated administrators

Give a branch manager or an outsourced IT partner control of only the part of the organisation they are responsible for.

Audit trail

Every administrative action is logged with the account that performed it and the time it happened.

For IT providers

Reselling hosted Exchange to your own clients

SolidCP is built around hosted organisations, which makes it a genuine multi-tenant platform rather than a single shared address book.

One organisation per client

Each client gets their own Exchange organisation with separate domains, address list, mailbox plans and administrators. Nobody sees anybody else.

Your branding, your relationship

White-label the service. You hold the client relationship and the invoice; we hold the servers and the pager.

Wholesale pricing

Volume pricing across your whole client base rather than per organisation, so a portfolio of ten-mailbox clients is priced like one large customer.

Questions

Control panel FAQs

What is SolidCP and why does it matter?

SolidCP is the control panel we give every customer. It lets your own IT team create, edit and delete mailboxes, manage distribution groups and contacts, set delegate and send-as permissions, apply mailbox plans, enforce password policies, wipe a lost phone and see live storage usage, all without raising a ticket or learning Exchange PowerShell. Most hosted Exchange providers keep that behind their support desk. We do not.

Can you host mailboxes for more than one company under one account?

Yes. SolidCP is built around hosted organisations, so a group with several trading companies, or an IT provider reselling to their own clients, can run each one as a separate Exchange organisation with its own domains, address list and administrators, all billed together. Ask us about reseller pricing.

Do you support shared mailboxes, room bookings and meeting rooms?

Yes, and they are free. Shared mailboxes, room mailboxes and equipment mailboxes do not count towards your licensed mailbox total, so you can set up info@, accounts@, a boardroom calendar and a pool car booking resource without paying for any of them.

Want a look at the control panel before you commit?

We will give you a walkthrough on a screen share, or set up a trial organisation with a couple of mailboxes so you can create, edit and delete things yourself. No commitment either way.
