Genuinely UK-based
UK data centres, a UK-registered company and a UK support team in Birmingham. No offshore first line, no data leaving the country and no timezone lottery when something breaks.
About us
MyExchangeServer is the hosted Exchange platform run by E-Consulting Ltd, a Birmingham IT support company that has looked after British businesses since 1999. We built it because we spent years cleaning up after other people’s email hosting.

UK data and UK support
For twenty-five years, E-Consulting has been the company that businesses in Birmingham and across the UK ring when their IT stops working. Managed support, cyber security, networks, firewalls, cloud, CCTV — the unglamorous infrastructure that a working day quietly depends on.
In that time we have inherited a great many email setups from other providers, and the same problems came round again and again. Mailboxes capped at two gigabytes with no warning before they filled. IMAP accounts pretending to be business email, with no shared calendar and no way to grant someone access to a departed colleague's mail. Providers who would not say which country the data sat in. Support queues where a password reset took two days and a new starter took a week.
None of that is a technology problem. Exchange has done all of this properly since the late nineties. It is a service problem: providers cutting corners on residency, on control, and on answering the telephone.
So we built the platform we wanted to hand our own support clients. Real Exchange, in UK data centres we can point at, with the administration handed back to the customer through SolidCP, at a price that does not require an annual commitment to look sensible. Then we opened it up to businesses who are not our managed support clients, because the platform works just as well for them.
We are not a hyperscale cloud, and we do not pretend to be. We do not have a data centre on every continent, a marketplace of four hundred integrations, or an AI assistant in the corner of your inbox. If those things matter to you, Microsoft 365 is a better product and we will happily quote you for it — we resell it.
What we have instead is a platform small enough that a named engineer knows your organisation, and a phone number that a human answers. For a substantial number of British businesses, that turns out to be the thing that actually mattered.
Badly, according to marketing convention. There is no trial that auto-converts, no drip campaign, no artificial discount that expires on Friday. You ring us or fill in the form, a person works out what you need, and we send a written quote. If hosted Exchange is the wrong answer for you, we say so — roughly one enquiry in six leaves us recommending Microsoft 365 instead.
Over twenty-five years that approach has produced a client base that stays, which is a considerably better business than one that churns.
What we stand behind
These are on the homepage as sales points. They are here because they are also the operating rules.
UK data centres, a UK-registered company and a UK support team in Birmingham. No offshore first line, no data leaving the country and no timezone lottery when something breaks.
SolidCP hands your IT team the mailbox administration that most providers keep behind a support ticket. Create a mailbox at seven on a Monday morning without asking anyone.
MyExchangeServer is run by E-Consulting Ltd, who have supported British businesses since 1999. You get an email platform and the engineers who understand the network it plugs into.
Eight pounds plus VAT per mailbox, per month. No set-up fee, no minimum term and no per-feature upsell for the things email should already do.
We audit, plan and run the cutover out of hours, then stay on the phone the next morning while everyone opens Outlook. Free with every mailbox you order.
Ring 0121 233 0200 and you reach an engineer who can open a PowerShell session against the server your mailbox is on, not a script reader in a queue.
The wider company
If your email problem turns out to be a network problem, a DNS problem or a compromised workstation, we can deal with that too.
Remote and onsite support for businesses from five users to several hundred, with proactive monitoring and patching.
Endpoint protection, email security, firewall management, security awareness training and Cyber Essentials preparation.
Structured cabling, wireless design, firewalls, VPNs and multi-site connectivity.
Microsoft 365, hosted servers, virtual desktops and backup, including migrations off ageing on-premises hardware.
Servers, workstations, storage and the boring but essential lifecycle planning that keeps them supported.
Camera systems, access control and remote monitoring for offices, warehouses and sites.
No demo booking funnel, no discovery call before the discovery call. Ring the number, describe your setup, get an answer.
